Chocolate Marzipan Sweets


You will need:
200g marzipan
100g glace cherries
large bar chocolate
sweet cases

***Safety Note*** 
***Cookers and boiling water should only be used with adult supervision***

Take a piece of marzipan about the size of a cherry and roll it into a ball.  Now squash it so that it forms a flat circle.  Put a cherry in the middle of  the marzipan circle and fold the marzipan up round it and pinch the edges together, roll the marzipan covered cherry  in your hands until it is smooth and round. Repeat until you have used up all the cherrys and marzipan.

Break the chocolate into pieces in a heat proof bowl and place the bowl over a saucepan of gently boiling water, stir occasionally until the chocolate has all melted and is smooth. Remove the bowl of melted chocolate from the saucepan of boiling water

Put a marzipan covered cherry into the chocolate, use a teaspoon to roll it gently over so that it is completely coated in chocolate. Lift the sweet out of the chocolate and put it straight into a sweet case. Leave to set. Repeat with all the marzipan covered cherrys.

When the chocolate has set arrange your sweets on a plate, and share them!
