Real Easter Eggs
Your will need:
Large Fresh Egg Several Colours of Tissue Paper PVA Glue Water Glue Brush *Safety
Note - pregnant women, the elderly and children should not blow eggs*
This is how:
Mix the PVA glue half and half with water.Wash the egg thoroughly.
Using a large pin make a small hole at one end of the egg and a slightly larger hole at the other end. (Make sure that you pierce membrane as well as the shell). Give the egg a really good shake, this should start mixing the yolk and the white and make it easier to blow. Hold the egg over a bowl and blow hard through the smaller hole. The white and yolk will come out through larger hole - it usually takes a bit of time and extra shaking to complete. Tear some coloured tissue paper into little pieces. Glue the tissue paper pieces to the egg with the pva glue, covering the whole surface. When you have finished adding tissue paper, paint the egg with an extra layer of glue. Work on one half of the egg at a time and leave to dry before starting the second half. Leave the egg to dry When your egg is dry it will be coloured, shiny and beautiful - why not make a whole bowl of eggs to decorate an Easter table? |
